The following review, from a reader of my new book FINDING AGNETHA, was interesting to me, because although 90% or more of the reviews on this book so far have been very positive, I was half-expecting someone to come along and say, “you gotta be kidding – an eleven-year old boy going off to Sweden to get ABBA together again!” When I wrote the book, it was after watching the Mama Mia film which uses ABBA songs throughout, and I was inspired, almost longing for a chance to reexperience the group, as they were. I promptly went off and wrote this book, and oddly, it sort of fit right in with my idea of what would I have done, given the circumstances NOW, to get ABBA to reunite. So the story rolls out, and here is another reader review (click on link to my website review page). The book, by the way, is available in English and Swedish through international book retailers (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Chapters-Indigo, and many others.

About Réal Laplaine
After fifty years of adventures, I sat myself down in front of a computer, opened the door to my imaginative juices, and started writing the stories that I wanted to. Besides the fact that writing is the closest thing to my soul, and gives me the greatest high imaginable, I find that writing is a way to tell the world stories that stretch the imagination. I am all about stepping outside the box - and since I can remember, I have never felt like I fit into the proverbial square hole. I was always looking for the holes in the fence, new doors, new potentials - and my stories reflect this propensity. I am also a strong advocate of human rights - and as such, my books cast a spotlight on sources of oppression in our society. Freedom is my byword, and plots in my books raise the flag on those elements in our society which threaten our freedom.
Other than that, I love a good action novel, I love realistic sci-fi, I am thrilled by the works of Tolkien, Louis L'Amour, Richard Bach, Mark Twain, Cussler and numerous other authors who manage to spin tales which keep us up late at night, reading and stretching the bounds of our world.
I have published three books with a fourth on its way soon - the first in a triolgy about a man who can leave his body at will and who, as a result, discovers some nasty shit and becomes the target of a nationwide search to stop him from revealing what he knows.
